Screw and Barrel Types

Harden Machinery’s extruder single screws and cylinders focus on extrusion process with carefully choosing of steel material and construction to match with your applications. Carbide hardening of screw flights and chrome coating of screws are available.

Harden Machinery’s counter rotating conical and parallel twin screws and cylinders focusing on providing long lasting life for both the screws and barrel. Carbide coating hardening of screw flights is also available. Harden also supplies screw elements for co-rotating twin-screw extruders.

Harden Machinery supplies bi-metallic barrel for high corrosive and high abrasive materials. A layer of tungsten carbide alloy is pasted on the ID of the barrel using centrifugal casting process. The wear resistance layer greatly increase the life of barrels. For screws, optional chrome coating and WC spray welding on flights are available.
